Coronavirus symptoms: The 5 COVID symptoms which take the longest to go away, according to a Lancet study

Fatigue and exhaustion, which are often seen with viral illnesses are quite commonly seen in COVID cases. However, the severity and duration of your fatigue can determine your risk for long COVID.

According to the Lancet study, nearly 63% of patients report suffering from fatigue, weakness, muscle pain for nearly six months after the first symptoms start to show up.

Fatigue, which can be brought on by a host of symptoms-including high fever, gastrointestinal infection and the stress of infection itself can also make it harder for a person to bounce back into normalcy.
