Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who accompanied the team with his family, had wife Wardha do the honours of breaking the coconut while his sons posed with the film’s clapperboard.
Sharing photos of the big day on her Instagram handle, Wardha wished her team a successful shoot in a note that read, “Muhurat shot done. Congrats to you all. Good luck team #BachchanPandey @sknadiadwala @snadiadwala1 Don’t miss Ms.
Signalling the start of the shoot, Kriti also took to her Instagram stories to share a photo of the film’s clapper board.
The team arrived in Jaisalmer on Saturday evening, well in time to prep for the shoot. While the team got busy setting up their equipment, lead actress Kriti Sanon was ticking things off her bucket list. The actress shared a video of herself enjoying riding a bike on a quiet road. “Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul…” she captioned the video.
‘Bachchan Pandey’ was initially scheduled for a Christmas 2020 release, however, it had to be postponed due to the lockdown.
The action-comedy will see Kumar play the titular role of a gangster, who aspires to be an actor. Kriti, on the other hand, will play a journalist, who wishes to be a director.
