Salman Khan’s ‘
Dabangg 3′, will be seen essaying an interesting role in the film, which will also feature South star Adivi Sesh. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the film is based on the life of NSG Commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who lost his life in the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks after saving the lives of hundreds of people.
Saiee, who’s already started shooting for the project, has unpleasant memories of the real incident. She shares, “When the attack took place, I was a child and watching the attacks unfold on TV. At that point, I couldn’t understand what was happening. I wondered what those blasts were and why people were screaming. I was really confused. As I grew up, I got to know it better, but now with this project, I know so much more about the attacks. I have deep respect for Commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan. I think his story needs to be told. He deserves this film and I will give my all to this project.”
Incidentally, last year the actress found herself at the iconic SoBo hotel where the attacks had taken place. She recollects, “I was at the hotel on November 25 for some work. I didn’t realise it before, but when the clock struck 12 at midnight, I realised it was November 26. It was surreal to be there on the anniversary of the attacks.”
