Now, Anurag Basu has made an interesting comment on her ‘Gangster’ actress claiming that he’s a bit confused about the ‘public persona’ of the actress. Recalling the moment he had first met Kangana, Anurag recently told an entertainment portal that among the 20-25 girls they auditioned for the role in ‘Gangster’, Kangana’s face just stuck in his head and he felt there was something unique about her.
However, while sharing his thoughts on her ‘public persona’ the renowned director said he didn’t see this side of Kangana and also they don’t meet much these days but one thing he’s sure that this public persona doesn’t match the Kangana he knows personally. So, according to Anurag, there are two Kanganas and the ‘Beech wali’ (the other one) he doesn’t understand.
When asked if he had foreseen Kangana’s grand success as an actress, the ‘Barfi’ director reportedly said that initially, she required guidance for everything, but she has always been a swift learner and he even witnessed her growth during the filming of ‘Gangster’ itself.
Anurag Basu has worked with Kangana Ranaut in three films namely ‘Gangster’, ‘Life In A Metro’ and ‘Kites’. Meanwhile, up next for the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actress is the biopic ‘Thalaivi’ in which she will be seen in the titular role of J. Jayalalithaa. She also two films ‘Dhaakad’ and ‘Tejas’ in the pipeline.
