The first film ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ became a massive hit in 2003 and was followed by another 2006 sequel ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’.
The much-anticipated third film has been in headlines for quite some time, but the 52-year-old actor, in an interview with a news agency, admitted he has no idea about the reasons behind the delay. He finds it weirdest as three scripts are almost ready and there’s also a producer who would love to make it.
Earlier in February, the team had hinted that they have zeroed in on an idea for the third ‘Munna Bhai’ film and it’s being developed. Warsi also revealed that he was supposed to collaborate with Dutt on one more project, but the film had to be put on hold because of the latter’s health problems. The actor has now said once Sanjay is all healthy and fine, they will discuss and start the film.
Incidentally, Sanjay Dutt had revealed in August that he is taking a break from his professional commitments to overcome his battle with cancer, and in October, he had finally shared that he has been “victorious” in his long fight against the disease.
