Vicky and Aditya took to their social media handles to relive the joy when conferred with the awards on December 23, 2019. “Aaj ka din magar picchla saal!! Greatest day of my life!!”Dhar captioned a photo of himself and his leading man looking proudly at their trophies and certificates.
The actor and the director won their first National Awards for their work on the film based on the Indian Army’s 2016 surgical strikes on terror launch pads in Pakistan after the Uri attack.
“It is the best feeling. Since childhood whenever I used to think about getting into films, the first thought that would come to my mind was to win the National Award one day and receiving it for my debut film is surreal,” Dhar told PTI.
After the ceremony, Vicky had taken to his Instagram handle to express his happiness and shared a picture of himself posing with the award. Wearing a navy blue Jodhpuri suit, the actor was all smiles for the camera.
On the work front, Kaushal, who was last seen in Bhanu Pratap Singh‘s ‘Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’, will be seen next in Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Sardar Udham Singh’.
He will also be seen sharing screen space with beauty queen Manushi Chhillar in an untitled project.
