When he was three, he did a cameo in his father Raj Kapoor‘s film ‘Shree 420’ (1955). He appeared in the musical sequence of ‘Pyar Hua, Iqrar Hua Hai’. Rishi’s debut rule was in the 1970 film ‘Mera Naam Joker’. He played the role of the young version of the lead character played by his father.
