Chiranjeevi welcomes Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu to ‘Acharya’ sets – Times of India

After her whirlwind wedding with boyfriend Gautam Kitchlu and a romantic honeymoon in the Maldives, Kajal Aggarwal is back to work. Accompanied by her hubby, the 35-year-old actress has joined the sets of ‘Acharya’ in Hyderabad and Chiranjeevi himself welcomed the newlywed couple with garlands and a cake cutting session. While the shooting of the big-budget actioner has resumed in the second week of November, the makers will shoot some crucial portions featuring Chiranjeevi and Kajal in the current schedule.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya is set against the backdrop of Dharmasthali and the first look poster showcased Chiranjeevi from the backside as he attacks a group of goons with a knife in his hand. While Mani Sharma has been roped in to compose the music, Regina Cassandra has sizzled for a special number before the lockdown. Kajal has been roped in as the leading lady after Trisha Krishnan walked out from the project citing creative differences.

Acharya will feature Ram Charan in a full-fledged powerful role and the female lead opposite him is yet to be announced. While Sonu Sood will be reportedly essaying the protagonist, Chiranjeevi will be seen as a Naxalite-turned-social reformer who launches a fight against the Endowments Department over misappropriation and embezzlement of temple funds and donations.

On October 30th, Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu became husband and wife in a ‘Punjabi-Kashmiri’ marriage at Mumbai. From pre-wedding festivities like Satsang, Chunni, Mehendi and Haldi to their scenic wedding and grand reception, photos and videos from the week-long celebrations took the internet by storm and left the fans of the popular actress pretty much satisfied.
