Talking to a news portal, Ranveer reportedly said that his struggling period wasn’t easy. For about three and a half years, the actor added that he was groping in the dark. According to him, it was very far-fetched for someone in his position to think that he would get a big opportunity as a performer, to act as a lead actor in Hindi films.
Elaborating further, Ranveer added that he was 21 when he started trying my luck and at 24. The actor revealed that he almost debuted in a small role in ‘Patiala House’, and nearly did some small budget films that Anurag Kashyap was directly/indirectly affiliated with. He stated that today, both, Nikkhil and Anurag are probably as astounded as he is about how things started for him and how they have worked out.
Ranveer also went on to say that he wants to be remembered as a thorough entertainer and a versatile actor, whose body of work constitutes some of the best cinema of our country.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer will next be seen in Kabir Khan’s ‘83’ where he will be seen essaying the role of cricketer Kapil Dev. Apart from this, he also has Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’ in his pipeline.
